Friends of the Haenertsburg Grasslands - FroHG - is a volunteer group dedicated to the conservation of the unique grasslands and related ecosystems near Haenertsburg, Limpopo Province.
FroHG is a registered member of the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA), which operates a network of Friends Groups around the country
FroHG finalised its constitution in August 2007 and was officially launched on 24 September 2007
FroHG arose from a small group of volunteers called HEMAG - Haenertsburg Environmental Monitoring and Action group. This informal grouping has agreed to give way to FroHG as it has the benefits of a formal constitution, and the backing of WESSA.
FroHG cooperates with the Botanical Society, the Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers (CREW) and the Tzaneen Eco Club.
